Carpet is easy to install and it’s available in more colors and textures than any other flooring choice. Our showroom in Spokane has hundreds of options in stock.

Caruso’s Floors is proud to carry an outstanding selection of carpeting in the latest textures,

Why choose carpet?

  • Carpet is warm, soft and quiet under feet.
  • Carpet comes in a wide variety of styles, colors, tones and hues to match any décor style or budget.
  • Carpet can be installed over a variety of subfloors and on all grade levels, even concrete slabs in basements.
  • Carpet is economical and long lasting. Installation costs and time are generally less than other options.

Other things to consider

Carpet flooring is available in standard sizing 12 to15 feet in length and unless the room to be carpeted is narrower than these widths, the carpeting must be seamed- some styles may leave visible or peaked seams. The degree of seam visibility depends on the texture and coloring of the carpet, lighting in the room and even furniture placement.

Other things to consider

As carpet bends over stairs, its backing may show depending on the type of carpeting, texture, color and density. Looped carpets can also snag, particularly at a seam or at a carpet transition.

Quality carpet will typically have greater pile density, and stronger twist construction, which will ensure that your flooring can stand up against wear and tear.

Once a carpet is installed in a new home, it can look lighter than the in-store sample. Lighter colored carpet can also visually expand the size of the room and darker carpeting will seem to bring the walls closer together. Neutral colors are best for resale value or if you change décor styles frequently.

It is important to understand exactly what is covered by the warranty of your specific carpeting choice investment. Higher quality carpeting usually comes with a better, more inclusive warranty.

Carpet padding is the layer of material between the carpet and the floor below. A good carpet padding can make all the difference between a good feeling carpet and a great one. The carpet cushion or padding, not the carpet itself determines how your carpet feels beneath your feet. A quality carpet cushion helps maintain the look of the carpet, and can even extend the life and comfort of a carpet, providing it with stronger protection against everyday wear and tear.

Carpet Types

Textured

If you know you want casual, something textured might be a good choice.
Textured carpet is a very popular style that has alternating twists of yarn creating a two-tone appearance that is both visually appealing and works well at hiding footprints and stains. This carpet creates a more casual atmosphere in the room, it’s great for all areas in the home and these styles are available in a broad range of prices.

Saxony

For the traditional look and feel.
For a more formal, traditional and elegant look, you should consider the beautiful Saxony or plush styles we carry at Caruso’s Floors. This style is known for its smooth, velvet-plush look and luxurious feel. Each individual piece of yarn has a uniform twist, length and finish. This style works well in master bedrooms, dining rooms or formal living areas, but is less appropriate for high traffic areas because it may show footprints and pesky vacuum tracks.

Frieze

The best choice to stand up against wear and tear
For high traffic areas frieze style carpeting may be the best choice. The yarn in this style carpeting is very tightly textured creating a carpet of high durability and very good wear-ability. These carpets are great performers in high-traffic areas but can be installed throughout your home. This style hides footprints and is available in various pile heights that create many different looks.

Cable

Comfortable classic
This style of carpeting is made using thicker, typically longer yarn strands.
This style is very comfortable underfoot and beautiful in a bedroom or living room.
However, it can matte and crush with heavy foot traffic so it is not the best choice for stairs, hallways or other busy areas in your home.

Looped

A great all-purpose carpet, a long lasting performer and very popular choice
A looped or berber style carpeting is made of bulky yarns of olefin fiber, nylon, or a blend of various carpet fibers, looped for various styles and looks. Looped carpets are very durable and this is the result of not cutting the yarn tips. This style carpeting is ideal for casual rooms and come in solid colors, berber fleck and patterns with varying lengths of loops. This carpet hides traffic patterns well, but may make seams more apparent and its backing is more visible on stairs.

Cut and Loop

Designed to stand up to living
Cut and Loop patterned carpet is a combination of cut and looped yarns that crate pattern effects by the variation in surface textures. Much like other looped carpeting styles, these carpets are low profile and stand up well against wear and tear; however, sometimes the seams are visible. This style very of carpeting is fashionable today in casual and traditional rooms. At Caruso’s Floors, we have this style available in many patterns including modern patterns and formal floral prints. The textured and multiple-colored texture does well hiding stains and standing up to traffic.

Whatever woven texture you’re after, Caruso’s Floors has a huge selection of carpets from incredible home design manufacturers, including Mohawk, Shaw, Carpet Plus Color Tile, Milliken, and Beaulieu of America, just to name a few.
